Travel Information
The 2009 Welsh International Festival of Football promises to be one of the biggest and best holiday park tournaments of the year. The tournament will be played at various Sports Grounds in and around Prestatyn. Teams will be based in Pontins, Prestatyn so travel time will vary between grounds but will be around 20 to 30 minutes. The information provided on this Website should be used generally and not specifically. Teams will receive a more accurate itinerary in the build up to the event.
Travel Time/Distance To Your Accommodation in the UK
- Ferry Option from Holyhead – Prestatyn approx 50 miles = Approx 55 minutes
- Ferry Option from Fishguard – Prestatyn approx 140 miles = Approx 3 hours 50 minutes
- Flight Option from Manchester Airport – Prestatyn approx 60 miles = Approx 1 hour 10 minutes
Coach Travel/Shuttle Buses
Teams travelling from overseas by coach will travel from their home region, and where necessary due to numbers travelling may share a coach with another team. The coach will also perform the shuttles to and from the tournament venue on both days of the tournament as per the agreed travel package.
Ferry Crossings / Eurotunnel
Teams which travel from outside Great Britain to the tournament will cross via the following routes:
Ireland; Rosslare – Fishguard, and Dublin – Holyhead. Logically teams from the Southern half of Ireland will travel through Rosslare and teams from the Northern half of Ireland will travel through Dublin.
Mainland Europe; Calais – Dover, Caen – Portsmouth, Calais – Folkestone (Euro tunnel) & Hook of Holland – Harwich.
